Instructions To Download And Install Our Software

Article summary

Uploading/pasting of timesheets must be done through a Windows PC at this time.


Attention: New clients will receive a "Welcome to RealTime" email with the information needed to log in.  This will include a username and temporary password.          



Access RealStaff on PC

If you are using a new computer, then you will need to download the parallels client for use with RealTime’s software.


Attention Ma​c Users:  RealStaff does NOT support uploading files or pasting screenshots on a Mac computer or the web version of RealStaff due to incompatibility.      




Installing Parallels

  1. Click on the following link to download the Parallels Client Software to your computer.
Note: The link below is for a 64-bit Windows Client

(If using a different OS please refer to Installing Parallels Client for Windows, Mac, and Linux for specific download links based on your computer’s operating system, or go directly to the Parallels Website.)

  1. A dialog box will appear. Click Next.

  1. Accept the agreement. Click Next.

  1. Accept the default location of the files. Click Next.

  1. Select the “Do not install Single Sign-On component” option. Click Next.

  1. Click the Install button.

  1. Click Finish when done.

Note: If the “Add New Connection” box does not appear, look for an icon on the desktop and double click it to open Parallels Client.

Configure RealStaff

  1. Open Parallels and click on File in the upper left corner >> then New Connection

  1. On the New Connection window, enter “Realstaff.com” and then Next.

  1. On the next New Connection window, enter the following:

    Server: Realstaff.com (Not case sensitive)

    Connection Mode: Gateway SSL Mode

    Friendy name: (This is an optional field.)

  1. On the Log In - RealStaff.com window. Enter the User Name and Password from the Welcome to RealStaff email.

Optional: If no one has access to your computer you may want to click on the Save Password checkbox.

  1. Type RTS if asked for a Domain.

  1. On the Change Domain Password window
  • Enter RTS after the @ symbol. (Not case sensitive)
  • Enter the new password. Click Change Password to save.

  1. To open RealStaff, double-click on the RealStaff icon with your company’s name.

Setup Complete!

How to log in to Parallels after set up

To log in after setup, double click on the Parallels icon located on your desktop.

From the Parallels Client Window, double-click the connection.

From the Log In Window:

  • Make sure the Authentication Type is set to Credentials.
  • Enter the username only.
  • Enter the password.

Optional: If no one has access to your computer you may want to click on the Save Password checkbox.

  • Click on the Connect button.

To open RealStaff after logging into Parallels, double-click on the RealStaff icon with your company’s name.

Create a shortcut on your desktop

To create a shortcut on your desktop, right-click on the application icon and choose: Create Shortcut to Desktop.
From your desktop, double-click on the new icon to open RealStaff.
