How to Pay an Employee on a Paycard

Article summary

Make sure the employee has the Pay Type selected as Paycard (Instant pay, Daily pay, Next day pay)

  1. From the RealStaff main menu, click on
    Emp/Hrs/PR >> Employee Maintenance
  1. Select the Employee and click on the Change button.
  1. On the Ded/PayAccts tab, click on the image button on the Pay Type dropdown.
    1. Select Paycard from the dropdown.
    2. Click the OK button.

Add Employee Hours

  1. From the RealStaff main menu, click on
    Emp/Hrs/PR >> Hours Pay Entry
  1. Select the Employee from the Hours Pay Entry window, then click on the Insert button.
  1. On the Adding Employee Hours window under the General tab, enter the following information:
    1. Click on the image button to select the Customer.
    2. Click on the image button to select a Work Date. (This can be the actual work date or the week ending date.)
      Note: If entering by shift, add the time the shift started, ended, and break time minutes in the fields.
    3. Click on the image button to select an Assignment.
    4. Enter Total Work Hours.
    5. Enter the Regular Hours Rate and the Bill Hours Rate.
    6. Click on the image button to select the W/C Code. (Workers Comp).
    7. Click on the Documentation tab (See instructions/image below).
    8. After uploading the timesheet on the documentation tab, go back to the General tab and then click on the Ok button.
  1. On the Documentation tab, copy and paste the time sheet or upload the time sheet.
    Click on the Ok button.
    Select the General tab and click on the Ok button. (See previous image)
  1. Once the time sheet is uploaded, click on the Pay Now button.
  1. On the Pin Request for pay card functions window, enter the Pay PIN. The Pay PIN is sent in a separate email.
Note

Client is also able to view the Pay PIN: From the RealStaff main menu, click on File >> Update my Settings in RealStaff

  1. Review the pay information on the Payroll window.
    Make sure all data is correct, then click on the Options button.
  1. On the Options window, click on the Post/Print Checks button.
  1. On the Confirm window, click on the Yes button to post the checks.
  1. On the Print Check(s) window, click the checkbox for Email stub instead of printing.

The system will process and the pay card will be funded.
