Activating a Paycard for Employees

Article summary

Paycards allow clients to pay their employees electronically through a paycard. There is no check or direct deposit that the employees have to wait for.

They are immediately and instantly paid through the RealStaff system and they can get a notification that funds have been received on their paycard.

  1. From the RealStaff main menu, click on
    Emp/Hrs/PR >> Employee Maintenance
  1. Select the employee and click the Change button.
  1. Check to make sure the following information is entered correctly.
    • Mailing address (No P.O.Boxes are allowed)
    • Birthdate
    • Phone Number
Note

The Paycard Company does NOT accept P.O. Boxes for the address.

  1. On the Ded/PayAccts tab, select Pay Card from the Pay Type dropdown.
  1. Enter the Paycard Account Number (last eight numbers) in the entry box.

Note: The Paycard Account Number is located on the paper the actual paycard is attached to. (See image of sample paycard & paper below)

  1. Click Ok.
  1. Check all of the information again, then click Activate the card button. This will update the personal information.
  1. To double-check that the card has been activated, click on the Ded/Acct tab. At the bottom of the window, it will show that the card is active, who activated the card, and the date/time the card was activated.
